What this WhatsApp QR code generator creates
The generator turns a WhatsApp click-to-chat URL into a QR code image. A person can scan the code with a phone camera and follow the link to the chat route. This can be handy on a printed menu, a business card, a counter sign, or a presentation when a typed number would be inconvenient.
The QR contains the chat linkโnot a verified profile, contact card, or message history. If you include a pre-filled message, that text becomes part of the link encoded in the QR. Keep it short and avoid including confidential information.
Generate and test your QR
- Select the destination country. India (+91) is selected initially; change it to the numberโs actual country.
- Enter the national phone number. Do not repeat the selected calling code in this field.
- Add a pre-filled message if useful. The person who scans the code can review it and decide whether to send it.
- Create, download, and scan-test. Test the downloaded PNG at the size and print quality you plan to use.
QR code design and print tips
Keep the code on a plain, high-contrast background and leave a clear margin around its edges. Do not stretch it, cover its pattern with a logo, or print it so small that phone cameras cannot focus. Include a short label explaining what scanning does, such as โScan to message our shop.โ
Test before sharing
Scan the code with a second device, check the country code and recipient carefully, and confirm that the intended chat opens. The destination still depends on WhatsApp and whether the phone number can be reached there. A QR image cannot guarantee account availability or delivery.
Share responsibly
Only create and distribute a QR code for a number you own or are authorized to share. If you print it publicly, consider where it will be displayed and whether the linked message or number could be copied by anyone who sees it.
