Our publishing standard
Every help article should answer the stated problem directly, distinguish confirmed steps from general troubleshooting, and avoid promising outcomes controlled by Instagram. Drafts are not treated as reviewed simply because they have been generated or formatted.
Research and sources
We prioritize Instagram and Meta Help Center documentation for account recovery, privacy controls, Account Status and technical troubleshooting. Device-specific instructions should be checked against current Android or Apple documentation when relevant.
Human review
Published pages are checked for accuracy, repetition, working links, clear authorship and meaningful problem-specific value. When two questions are exact duplicates, one canonical article is retained and the duplicate URL is redirected. Pages requiring correction are updated or withdrawn rather than left misleading.
Automation and AI assistance
Automation may help organize a draft, but it does not replace fact-checking or editorial judgment. We do not consider a lightly varied template to be a finished article.
Corrections
Instagram changes frequently. When a reader reports an outdated step, we compare it with current first-party documentation and update or withdraw the affected guidance. Corrections can be submitted through the contact page.
Advertising separation
Advertisements must be clearly distinguishable from navigation, buttons, related articles and tool actions. Draft or unreviewed help pages are not eligible for ad placement.
