A quick word on respect
Reading or saving a caption doesn’t make it yours. Copyright stays with the person who wrote it, and seeing their words here doesn’t give you permission to republish them. When in doubt, credit them, link back, or simply ask.
What Instaustad can’t reach
We stick to what’s publicly visible. So a few things are always off the table:
Private accounts
If someone keeps their account private, their posts stay private here too.
Deleted posts
Once a post is gone from Instagram, there’s nothing left for us to show.
Restricted content
Age-restricted or region-restricted posts aren’t supported.
Login-only posts
Anything you’d need to sign in to see is outside what we can access.
We’ll never ask for your Instagram password.
Not now, not ever. If any site claims it needs your login to show a public caption, close the tab. We also can’t promise a caption will always be available, since it depends on the post staying public.

Why can’t I see a caption for my link?
The post might be private, deleted, or restricted, or it may simply have no caption. Try opening the link in a private browser window. If you can’t see it there, we can’t either.
Do you keep my links or captions?
We don’t save the links you paste or the captions you view. To see exactly how links are handled, read our privacy page.
Is Instaustad connected to Instagram?
No. We’re an independent site and aren’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
