Instaustad is run by an independent team focused on building clear, reliable web utilities that operate with complete privacy and transparency.
Accountability
We believe accountability is easier when there are real people directly responsible for the site.
Who runs this site
Instaustad is run by an independent team with a background in web development and data research who built the first version of this site to solve a personal workflow problem. We specialize in building lightweight, focused web utilities that respect privacy and deliver clear answers without unnecessary friction.
Why we're putting a name to this, not just a logo
A lot of tools in this space are run anonymously, which makes it hard to know who to trust, who's accountable if something goes wrong, or who actually stands behind the claims on the site. We'd rather be a specific, identifiable team than a faceless brand, because accountability is easier when there's someone to actually hold accountable.
How to reach us
If you have a question, a correction, or a concern about anything on this site, the fastest way to reach us is through our contact page. We read these directly — there's no support team filtering messages before they reach the people who actually make decisions about the site.
What we're not claiming
We're not a large company, and we're not pretending to be. This is a small, independent operation, and we think that's worth saying plainly rather than implying a scale that doesn't exist. Being small doesn't mean being less careful — if anything, it means the person responsible for a mistake is easy to find.
Direct Ownership
Every inquiry, report, or feedback message is handled directly by the site's creators.
